My mother-in-law was a Realtor in Northern Kentucky for over 40 years. She had a saying "Buy steak, not sizzle." In other words, focus on buying quality, not on the distractions of fancy remodeling or surface upgrades. That is one of my goals - to help you buy steak. It is important to understand what is below (or above) the surface, those things you might not see under all the sizzle.

Second, I have no interest in whether you buy the house or not. I am not here to scare you out of buying a house, but rest assured I will not ignore issues you should be aware of. My goal is to make sure you have all the knowledge you need to make an educated decision.  Speaking of issues, I will never recommend a repair company or provide you with an estimate for repairs. I pride myself in being impartial in the report I provide. It is for you to decide what items you might want the seller to repair or perhaps ask for a price reduction to assume the repairs yourself.

Most importantly, I will treat you like family. I want to you walk away from the home inspection with a sense of comfort in knowing your new home. I will not only point out areas of concern, but also provide some tips and hints on maintenance and things to watch out for over time.  My greatest complement is to have repeat customers and referrals.   - Steve Schroer
